Sikh Sakhis · Origins & Gurus · Guru Har Krishan Ji
Baba Bakala
On his deathbed, the Sikhs asked who would lead them next. The Guru, too weak to speak at length, raised five coins and a coconut, whispered 'Baba Bakala,' and merged back into the Divine Light. This final act pointed the Sangat toward his grand-uncle, Tegh Bahadur, who was meditating in the village of Bakala.
