The Foundation of Ramdaspur
Under the instructions of the Third Guru, Ram Das purchased a tract of land and began the excavation of a massive pool (Sarovar). He invited fifty-two different tradespeople to settle there, establishing a vibrant city of commerce and prayer that would eventually become the spiritual capital, Amritsar.
