The Refusal to Alter Truth

Emperor Jahangir demanded the Guru remove verses from the Adi Granth that seemed to criticize Islam or Hinduism. The Guru refused, stating that the Granth was a mirror of Truth and contained no malice. He chose to face the Emperor's wrath rather than compromise the integrity of the divine word.
