The Weaver's Loom
On a dark, stormy night, while carrying water, Amar Das stumbled over a weaver's peg. The weaver's wife mocked him as 'Amaru the homeless.' When Guru Angad heard this, he embraced Amar Das, declaring, 'He is not homeless; he is the home of the homeless.' Shortly after, he was anointed the Third Guru.
